HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

WOOOHOOO!!! last day of 2012! Its been an fruitful year for me, made new friends, turned 18 and most important thing is that im learning new things about myself, grown and started realize  that the new territories my age has given me comes with responsibilities, unfortunately ;)   

School starts on 2nd of Jan, lots of work to do!!!stuff like getting things organized, new books to read+stud.....its really important how you start your school year, and how you maintain this " i cant screw it up!!" mentality. I'm usually pretty good with the first bit but as the school year goes on things gets sloppy. That a terrible thing to do, so this year I AM NOT GOING TO LET MYSELF DO THAT!!!  

2013 IS GOING TO THE THE MOST AMAZING YEAR !!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !!!

Im back !! from Laos

HEY!!! IM BACK!! back at singapore at last, missed home!! So I havnt been around for awhile because i went to laos on a school trip to help teaching in one of the villages called Pon Song. What a trip! it was absolutely beautiful there, the people were so welcoming and warm, it made it even harder to say our goodbyes.

I know in my last post i said i was gonna do a bunch of things, i couldn't  since i was away, now that im back..... yeap! im so excited to get started!!

one more thing! breaking dawn part 2 is here !!! im i the only one that's excited??!!cant wait to go catch it!

I have soooo much stuff that i wanna put up here but i cant figure out where to start, so this is gonna be me listing down the things that i have coming up for the future posts.

Before i start on that, i got to admite i got lazy for the past few days and haven't been posting anything up here, there were quite a few things that i wanted to post up here but because i got so caught in something i just didnt feel like i could post anything... i never post stuff when i'm in a bad mood!! Dont like that kinda negative energy on my blog!! since now i've got everything fixed and feeling ever so wonderful I'm back in business!!!

Made My Day!!

Such an adorable girl!! Her voice is absolutely amazing, and her personality is nothing but sweet <3 Wow!! What are they feeding kids nowadays ?! She made me have a BIG smile on my face which is something I'v been miss these few day ..... lots of love for this lovely little lady, all the best wishes to her for the competition!!

AND this guy here, I think is probably the cutest guy ever!! I think its just too sweet of him to when he refused to tell Simon the mystery girl's name. Who won't fall for him ??

im a 90's kid!!! maybe im not qualified to say that, since you know i only got here in 94 and everything. from what i remember the 90s were great!!! i think music really reflects the year that it was made in ( is that the right word to use? made?)  love the 90s music (late 90s especially) so here's to the 90s ;) 

why the blog ??

I'v been swimming in my thoughts for these few days, they are going in a blur, Im find my self constantly repeating the things i do everyday and it feels almost like an old brocken record that never stops playing... i really wish something different would happen, a change? maybe its time for me to start my "things to do before you die" list.... I feel that its me thats trapping me, does that even make sense?

stop!! i getting myself depressed, not good. this is not why i started this blog, the reason why i started this blog is to have its as a "documentation" of myself through the years, its almost like a diary but the kind that you wouldn't mind sharing, so dont expect to find me posting my dark little secrets on this ;) its also like an outlet, for days like this when my spirit gets low to clear my head through writing. there are my little makeup posts too, thats out of pure passion for fashion ;) i dont really know who is reading this blog but hey people write to their diaries, so i guess this will be a little like that. and if you are really  reading this, you're probably awesome :)

TO DO LIST

2012 is coming to an end soon ( in 2 month) and im feeling very reflective today... okay i turned 18 this year, big thing right, first step to adulthood, but to be honest im not satisfied with where im standing in life right now. I'm constantly having this urge of going through a transformation, to become better than what i am to become the person that I've always wanted to be. I like me, but i just need to make improvements and grow. I think one of the best and also most painful thing about turning 18 is that you finally realize that its time to grow up to face things that a kid never had to deal with. My parents thinks that deep down  I'm actually 10 years old, which i think is great, i would never want to let that part of me go, its a part of who i am. But now I'v realized that I need to build upon this, to grow and expand and become better.

list of things that i need to do:

1) get back in shape, be healthy.
2) read ++++
3) wardrobe +++++
4) social activities +++++
5) learn to cook + bake (no pre-mix allowed)
6) make plans, dream big
7) save up for christmas (get a job)
8) be confident, strong, and crazy
9) do something crazy everyday (be like yes man)
10) learn to share
11) be kind to those who i love and those who loves me

Marilyn Monroe Iconic Look Tutorial

I found this youtube video of the Marilyn Monroe look tutorial by  lisaeldridgedotcom and i had to share this !!! Its greatly detailed and the look is absolutely amazing :) enjoy !!!

here's me with the inspired look from this tutorial <3 i tried it out after seeing the tutorial, thought it wasn't gonna look that great on me but it actually looked pretty okay, not a everyday look though but its defiantly fun to wear maybe on a night out with friends or something ;)  

MAC office hours collection

All about that warm, pink tone. I was at the mac store today DETERMINED to buy that red lipstick that i was talking about from the Marilyn Monroe collection but sadly i was a step too late !! they were all sold out and the only one left was the lip pencil which i tried but they just wasn't what i wanted. Just when i was about to leave the store i saw the "OFFICE HOURS" collection on the other end of the store, out of curiosity, i went and had a look. what caught my i eye was the darker colored blushes that they had........... 

Best thing about really brightly colored blushes is that since they are so pigmented you can either build up or sheer down the color when you apply it, unlike the lighter shades where you have to  building up layers and layers of product just to let the color stand out. I tried out "stubborn"(first from the right, second role) its a midtone rose plum color, its warm with more pink/brown tone to it. I tried it on, and since its a pro-longwear blush the product was highly pigmented, so a tiny bit goes a long way!! 

Buying it was one of those thing that i wasn't so sure of..... Firstly i am crazy about makeup but i never buy what i dont need, this was a product that i didn't really need, i have like 3 blushed at home and im not even done with half of it :( but since i didn't have a color like this so i thought yeah why not ;) so here i go again.....  retail therapy!!!

why is math so hard ??!!

Its been exams, exams,exams  for these few weeks and I'm so glad the that math paper is finally over!!! I never had problems with math until last year and now its my worst subject. This really gets me down, i get sooooo frustrated with the subject sometimes and with the stress from exams it makes everything 10 times harder. So after the math exam i went online to find quotes about math sucking ( don't ask why...) and ran in to this quote, it really inspired me. here's to those kids out there who are troubled by exams especially those taking their o'levels/ a'levels this year!!! much love . P

MAC for Marilyn Monroe

"a smile is the best makeup a girl could ever wear"

MAC recently launched the Marilyn Monroe collection, and i think I've just found my perfect red lipstick!!! I mean OH MY GOD~  red lips are Marilyn Monroe's signature look!! so that's the one thing that I'm really excited about this collection. Release dated is on the 4th of October in the US, but I'm not so sure for Singapore... guess I'll just have to keep an eye on stores here.  Honestly, i think MAC is playing their marketing tricks here (again) but know what, its working. I'm seeing a trend going on for the collections that's been coming out this year, but oh well, I think its wonderful how this collection celebrates the life of Marilyn Monroe. 

Marilyn Monroe defined the meaning of beauty for a whole generation of people, even now <3 Life was never easy on her, she's had her ups and downs but we never saw that smile wiped off her face. i think mac really tried to bring out the essence of Marilyn's look, the winged eyes, thick lashes, pale pink cheeks, red lips... so good on ya MAC! I'm looking forward to the collection

ROCK THAT SUN-KISSED SKIN!!!!

I know this isn't really best the time to go crazy about this summer look since we are moving to the  fall/winter sessions and all cosmetic brands are coming up with new collections . BUT guess what ?! here in Singapore its summer 12 month a year!!! that's one thing that i really love (its really a love-hate relationship) about Singapore, you can rock that summer look 24/7 ;)  the other day i was at MAC getting my powder foundation and it just happened that they were launching their new fall collection style seeker, the minute i saw their "worldly wealth" blush i was in love <3  

"worldly wealth" is a peachy bronze blush with a good amount of gold shimmer in it, sweep this baby on your cheeks and it'll gives your skin a really health glow and you immediately get that sun kissed look ;) i love how when sheerly applied it becomes almost a warm champagne colour. Sometimes i like to dust this lightly over my face as a bronzer and it looks absolutely amazing !!!!

i found these bronzers by MICAbella on singsale, even though I've never heard of the brand before but after a researching i found recommendations on this product and decided that i should give it a try. Its a mineral bronzer with a all natural formula and it cost about S$55 on the micabella website but i can get it at S$29 from singsale.com so its a pretty good deal. sunlight is probably my pick since the other looks too orangy >.<

i think I'll do a review when i get this <3 

 lastly, it always great to get a natural tan the old fashion way but remember the sun is not always your best friend, never go out suntanning with out your sunblock!!!!
